You’ll develop trusted sources, dig deeper into the stories shaping the region, and create meaningful journalism with accuracy, fairness, and authenticity at its core. This is an opportunity to become deeply connected to the community and make a lasting impact at a station where local relationships matter. For an experienced journalist looking for a place to put down roots, Twin Falls offers an appealing combination of community connection, an affordable lifestyle, and access to Idaho’s remarkable outdoors.

- Create compelling multi-platform journalism using video, photography, graphics, digital storytelling, and other visual elements.
- Report live from the field and operate cameras with still photography and video capabilities.
- Connect audiences with a diversity of perspectives and stories that strengthen community belonging.
- Collaborate with newsroom colleagues on editorial and content planning, workflows, best practices, and multimedia coverage that meets strategic goals and deadlines.
- Maintain the highest standards of accuracy, objectivity, fairness, ethics, and sensitivity to community expectations.
- Engage with the community beyond daily assignments by participating in local events and staying closely connected to the issues important to the region.
- Drive a personal or company vehicle periodically to cover assignments throughout the market.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- A bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent years of experience is preferred.
- Generally, 5+ years of news reporting experience, including in-depth or long-form reporting, is required; experience with community, digital, and solutions-based journalism is preferred.
- A valid driver’s license, good driving record, and ability to provide proof of insurance meeting company-required limits are required.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- Deep expertise in investigative and long-form reporting and a strong command of journalistic standards.
- A talent for memorable storytelling and a distinct, engaging on-air presence.
- A consumer-focused approach and commitment to understanding what matters most to local audiences.
- Strong multimedia skills spanning reporting, writing, web publishing, still photography, online video, infographics, databases, and social media.
- Knowledge of reporting fundamentals, including privacy, ethics, access, open meetings, public records, and applicable state and federal requirements.
- Exceptional accuracy, fairness, editing, writing, and working knowledge of Associated Press style.
- Ability to use digital, video, mapping, social networking, and other technology to strengthen reporting across platforms.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, along with web publishing tools.
- Adaptability, emotional intelligence, sound judgment, and the ability to produce strong journalism in a deadline-driven newsroom.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
