Transportation Systems Tech Consultant

The Transportation System Technology Consultant is part of the Transportation Shared Services Team that ensures transportation systems function effectively to create value and to support the ongoing operational needs of Transportation.  This candidate should have a strong desire to learn, have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a continuous improvement mindset.  This role will have a strong focus on leading daily operational excellence in a fast-paced environment, continued center lining efforts, HMM creation, leveraging capabilities, and will enhance transportation systems related training. This role will also play a leading role in the testing and integration of system upgrades and enhancements.

 

Accountabilities:

• Understand and conduct in-depth analysis on existing processes and offer insights on system health through identification of key reoccurring themes
• Initiate root cause review and drive resolution to long standing problems
• Support day-to-day Operations & adhere to established operational and service level agreements as needed
• Participate in prioritization of new capabilities/enhancement and provide recommendations to senior leadership
• Assist in center lining of core system, identifying master data and processes for review upstream
• Assist in establishing and ensuring ongoing system sustainability via metrics and processes
• Refine and drive process improvements to fully leverage system capabilities
• Work closely with the transportation operations team to manage systems to drive value creation
• Lead onboarding and training of new department personnel
• Aid in the development and execution of transportation system strategies
• Collaborate across several groups including Transportation, Customer Fulfillment, Warehousing and others
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities to maximize Supply Chain performance and reduce costs.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, IS, or Transportation
• 3-5 years related Logistics experience
• Previous system experience/aptitude

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous SAP experience, specifically TMS and ERP
• Prior systems support experience (Logistics, Transportation, IT Experience)

SALARY RANGE

The salary range for this position is:

$82,400 - $123,800 Annual
