A lovely family in Knoxville in East Tennessee is seeking an occasional babysitter for their 2-week-old baby, starting in November 2026. Occasional care is needed 1–4 times per month, on weekdays or weekends, anytime between 9:00 AM–4:00 PM, with a minimum of 4 hours per day. The family is looking for a warm, engaging, and reliable caregiver to care for their baby while the mother is at work.
Start Date: November 11–18, 2026
Length of Position: Long-term
Schedule: Occasional care, 1–4 times per month, with no guaranteed hours
Typical Needs: Weekdays or weekends, anytime between 9:00 AM–4:00 PM, minimum 4 hours per day
Compensation: $30 per hour
Responsibilities
- Bottle feeding
- Diaper changing
- Facilitating nap times
- Engaging the child in age-appropriate activities
- Taking the baby for walks in the stroller
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of paid, professional infant care experience
- CPR certified, or willing to become certified
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Able to provide 2 childcare-related references from a professional setting
- Able to successfully clear a background and social media screening
Compensation:
This position pays $30 per hour, and the family is looking for occasional care 1–4 times per month with no guaranteed hours.
