When needed, you’ll provide oversight to ancillary staff and nursing staff in the absence of the Nursing Director and keep the ND informed on relevant issues.
Qualifications/skills:
- Current RN license; strong clinical judgment and communication
- Ability to lead shift coordination and maintain documentation standards
Apply today to be considered for this PRN RN opportunity.
A Typical PRN Shift
You’ll start by getting a clear picture of the unit’s needs, reviewing the current census and priorities, and aligning with the team on what success looks like for the shift. Throughout the day, you’ll stay closely connected with providers and peers, keeping information moving and expectations clear as patient situations evolve. You’ll balance focused time at the bedside with moments that require a broader view of unit flow, stepping into charge coverage when assigned. As the shift progresses, you’ll keep an eye on timely transitions, help remove barriers to admissions alongside Service Development, and ensure the handoff to the next team is organized and calm. You’ll wrap up with a final review to confirm records are complete and the unit is set up for continuity of care.
