The Northern Nanny Agency is delighted to be recruiting an exceptionally experienced Child-Friendly Housekeeper for a prestigious private family based in Knutsford, Cheshire.
This is a wonderful opportunity to join a warm and professional household living in a substantial private residence, where immaculate standards, discretion and attention to detail are paramount.
THE ROLE
The successful candidate will be an experienced, highly capable housekeeper who takes genuine pride in maintaining a beautiful family home to an exceptional standard.
This is predominantly a housekeeping position, with some childcare incorporated into the role. The family are looking for someone who is confident working independently, understands the standards expected within a private household and is naturally organised, proactive and discreet.
RESPONSIBILITIES
● Maintaining the property to an exceptionally high standard
● Detailed cleaning and meticulous attention to presentation
● Laundry, ironing and wardrobe care
● Looking after delicate and luxury fabrics with confidence
● Ensuring bedrooms, bathrooms and living areas are beautifully presented
● Managing household routines and ensuring everything runs seamlessly
● Some child-related duties and occasional childcare
● Supporting the family with the smooth day-to-day running of the home
● Maintaining a calm, discreet and professional presence at all times
HOURS & PACKAGE
Monday–Friday | 40 hours per week
The role will also require approximately two weekends per month, with flexibility around the family’s requirements.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
Our client is seeking someone who has a strong background in private household housekeeping and is accustomed to working within large, prestigious homes.
You will be:

● Confident working to very high standards
● Experienced with luxury homes and fine finishes
● Child-friendly and comfortable providing occasional childcare

● Warm and approachable whilst maintaining appropriate professional boundaries
● Flexible and willing to become an integral part of the household
