Full Stack Developer, PHP React Python, Fintech, Hybrid, Limassol, Cyprus

Emerald Zebra on behalf of our client, a fast growing fintech that has built an AI powered gold trading algorithm running 24/7 on MetaTrader 5, is looking to hire a Full Stack Developer to be based in Limassol, Cyprus. The product gives everyday investors access to institutional grade trading strategies through a leading regulated broker, and already serves clients across Asia, the Middle East and Europe. This is a hands on role in a small, high performing team, where you will own real features end to end and see your code move live markets.

Location: Limassol, Cyprus. Hybrid, with offices in Limassol and Nicosia. Remote considered for strong candidates in EET or overlapping time zones.

Engagement: Full time, permanent or contractor.

Reporting to: CTO / Technical Lead

Role Overview

You will develop the core trading platform, the client facing web applications and the backend integrations behind them, including deep integration with MetaTrader 5. This is a genuinely full stack role: you will move between PHP, React and Python, build and consume APIs, and work directly with the trading side of the product.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain client facing web applications in React and JavaScript.
• Develop backend services and RESTful APIs in PHP and Python.
• Design and optimise MySQL / MariaDB databases.
• Integrate the platform with MetaTrader 5 and other trading and financial data services.
• Work on Linux and AWS environments using Git, and contribute to Docker and CI/CD practices.
• Take ownership of features from idea through to production in a fast moving fintech environment.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven hands on experience in PHP, React and Python, with genuine breadth across front end and back end.
• Strong SQL and relational database skills.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
• Familiarity with MetaTrader 5 (MT5) and basic trading concepts: forex, CFDs, leverage and orders.
• A background in fintech, trading or financial services.
• Good written and spoken English.
• A practical, self sufficient developer, comfortable working independently.

Strong Advantages

• Experience with MT5 APIs, MQL5 or Expert Advisors (EAs).
• Experience integrating trading platforms with external web applications.
• Knowledge of trading automation or financial data APIs.
• Experience with WebSockets and real time applications.
• Familiarity with Redis, message queues, Docker and cloud infrastructure.
• Startup or scale up experience.
• Greek language skills.
