As a Armed Security Officer Medical Facility Concierge Post in Bethpage, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. You will provide a welcoming, professional presence, manage visitor access, monitor entry activity, respond to security-related concerns, and communicate clearly with students, staff, and guests. - Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at an educational location.
- Staff the front desk, greet and direct visitors, verify identification and authorization as required, and maintain accurate visitor logs and related documentation.
- Monitor entrances, lobby activity, alarms, cameras, and/or communication systems; report unusual conditions and security-related concerns according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and emergency responders when needed.
- Help to deter unauthorized access by maintaining a professional front-desk presence and following established access and credential procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
- Have 1+ years of law enforcement experience, 2+ years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or 3+ years of security-related experience.
- Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
