Salary Range: The base salary compensation range for this position is $75,000 to $105,000.

Job Purpose:

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the Bilingual Oral Care Field Consultant will be Haleon's primary partner to dental professionals across the Greater Ottawa territory, including Gatineau and Kingston, with some account coverage in Halifax. You will own and execute a territory business plan, build trusted relationships with dentists, dental hygienists and other members of the dental team, identify opportunities for growth, and deliver engaging, patient-focused sales and educational presentations.

Success in this role requires a strong understanding of Haleon's Oral Care portfolio and the competitive landscape, together with the ability to uncover customer needs, translate science into relevant conversations, influence behaviour change, and turn customer insights into action.

Why Join Haleon?

  • Competitive compensation and annual bonus package.
  • Comprehensive and flexible benefits program from day 1.
  • Defined contribution pension plan with employer matching.
  • Optional Haleon Savings Plan with employer matching.
  • 26 weeks of fully paid leave for all new parents at Haleon, regardless of gender or sexuality.
  • Inclusive, diverse, and collaborative culture.
  • Commitment to development and career progression.
  • Field-based flexibility and a company-leased vehicle, subject to eligibility under Haleon's safe driver program.

Key Responsibilities:

This role will provide you with the opportunity to own a high-impact territory and develop your sales career. Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute territory business plans, account priorities and customer call plans to grow the area business.
  • Set short- and long-term objectives and use territory insights, customer feedback and available data to prioritize activity and adapt plans.
  • Proactively identify, prioritize and develop new dental practices and customer opportunities through local market research, networking, referrals and strategic partnerships.
  • Build trusted relationships with dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants and other members of the dental practice team.
  • Use a consultative, patient-focused selling approach to uncover needs, ask effective questions, communicate relevant clinical evidence, handle objections and gain appropriate customer commitment.
  • Deliver engaging one-to-one and group presentations, lunch-and-learns, in-services and educational discussions tailored to dental professionals.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of Haleon products, strategies and positioning, as well as relevant competitor products and the broader Oral Care landscape.
  • Collaborate proactively with colleagues across Sales, Expert Marketing, Medical and other functions to successfully execute territory plans.
  • Manage budget and resources effectively, maintain accurate customer activity records, and report adverse events in accordance with Haleon policy.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Building trusted relationships while identifying and converting new customer and practice opportunities.
  • Delivering high-quality educational and sales conversations that are relevant to customer and patient needs and lead to appropriate commitment.
  • Increasing engagement with Haleon Oral Health Professional programs, resources and priority brands.
  • Consistently delivering against agreed territory objectives, activity expectations and KPIs.

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree - Science or Business preferred - or qualification as a Licensed Dental Professional.
  • Full professional fluency in French and English, written and spoken, is required.
  • Previous field sales experience is an asset (typically 1-3 years), or direct experience within the Oral Care or dental industry.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet Haleon's safe driver requirements.
  • Ability to work independently, manage a geographic territory and prioritize competing demands.
  • Strong verbal, written, listening and presentation skills, with clear and structured communication.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, with agility to learn CRM and other digital tools.
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout the territory, including regular driving and overnight and/or air travel as required, up to 10%.

*This position requires the employee to drive routinely on Company business and allows for the provision of a company-leased vehicle. To be eligible for the position and a company vehicle, Haleon will need to obtain acceptable results from a license verification inquiry and driver's abstract review against its safe driver program requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Residence within the Ottawa territory, given the nature of the client base, in-territory travel and the value of local market insight.
  • Previous experience in oral health, dental sales or working within a dental practice.
