We are seeking an experienced Dual Director of Finance to lead the finance functions for the pre-opening and launch of the new 700-room Marriott Cincinnati Convention Center Hotel, scheduled to open in January 2029. This flagship convention headquarters hotel represents one of the most significant hospitality openings in the Midwest. This dual-property role will also lead finance for The Westin Cincinnati, a 456-room downtown hotel undergoing a $40 million renovation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting and at least 5 years of progressive leadership experience in hotel finance or a related field.
  • Expert in budgeting, forecasting, profit & loss reporting, and analyzing financial data to formulate actionable solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop a high-performing, cross-trained finance team.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present complex financial concepts clearly, both in writing and in group settings.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, POS/PMS systems, and Excel; able to work flexible hours and maintain peak performance under pressure.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Driving Financial Performance

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for both hotels.
  • Analyze results, trends, and variances to improve performance.
  • Partner with leadership to set financial goals and business priorities.
  • Guide labor, revenue, and productivity decisions across both properties.

Leading Daily Finance Operations

  • Oversee daily finance operations, payroll, AP, AR, and cash controls.
  • Lead month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure profit and loss statements are accurate and timely.
  • Manage capital spending and monitor financial performance reviews.

Protecting Accuracy & Compliance

  • Maintain strong controls that safeguard assets and support compliance.
  • Oversee internal, external, and city audits for both hotels.
  • Manage tax reporting, reconciliations, and balance sheet accuracy.
  • Ensure complete documentation and consistent financial accountability.

Building Strong Teams & Partnerships

  • Advise GMs and department leaders on financial performance and needs.
  • Build strong partnerships that support operational and financial results.
  • Coach, develop, and cross-train a high-performing finance team.
  • Foster accountability, service standards, and a strong team culture.
