Description
Job Title: Senior Backend Engineer
Location: New York Hybrid
Compensation: $150k-$300k
Plexus has partnered with a fast-growing crypto trading platform to hire a Senior Backend Engineer. The team previously built one of the largest decentralised exchanges, with over $1 trillion in trading volume, and is backed by a16z and Polychain.
The Role:
- Work on core exchange infrastructure, with a focus on performance and reliability
- Build and own real-time data systems that power the trading experience
- Help design systems that run around the clock and scale with the business
- Have a real say in technical direction as the platform grows
- Report directly to the CTO
What they’re looking for:
- 5+ years of engineering experience
- Background in trading systems or high-performance backend environments
- Strong distributed systems knowledge and CS fundamentals
- Comfortable in a fast-moving, early-stage environment
- Crypto or DeFi experience is a plus
