Summary

Fire Creek Services Company, an All Native Group company, is seeking a Low-Voltage / IoT Technician to install and support the building condition-monitoring system in barracks and housing facilities on the installation, including wireless sensors, gateways, network switches, UPS units and enclosures, and building automation system interfaces. This is an immediate opening.

 

Essential Functions

  • Install and commission sensors (water, temperature and humidity, current and vibration), gateways and network hardware.
  • Terminate and label low-voltage cabling; document as-built drawings and device inventories.
  • Support building automation system (BAS/JACE) integration points with the System Engineer, following network segmentation rules set by the Cybersecurity / RMF Lead.
  • Troubleshoot sensor dropouts and gateway connectivity and manage spare equipment.
  • Test and certify cabling and verify device connectivity before closeout.
  • Follow the NEC (including low-voltage and communications articles) and TIA cabling standards.
  • Follow safe work practices, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), PPE and ladder safety.

Work Environment

Field-based work in barracks and housing facilities on the installation, including mechanical rooms and occupied buildings.

 

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Lifting up to 50 lb.
  • Climbing ladders.
  • Bending, kneeling and standing for extended periods.
  • Driving a service vehicle between buildings.

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Full-time and part-time positions available. Typical hours are Monday through Friday, daytime. Shifts may require some evening or weekend work, and this position participates in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergency escalations as duty lead.

 

Travel

Daily local travel between buildings on the installation.

 

Experience

  • 4+ years of low-voltage or structured cabling and sensor or controls installation experience.
  • Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS).
  • Clean, code-compliant low-voltage work.

Preferred:

  • Tridium Niagara/JACE.
  • Monnit or similar wireless sensors.
  • Industrial network switches.
  • Network segmentation basics.
  • Experience with cable certification testers (e.g., Fluke).
  • Familiarity with TIA-568 cabling standards.
  • Experience working on Department of Defense (DoD) installations, contracts or programs is a plus.

 

Education

High school diploma or GED plus completion of a technical program.

 

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • OSHA 10 certification required.
  • BICSI Installer certification or equivalent preferred.
  • State low-voltage license where required.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and obtain installation access.
