Description
The Crisis Team member is an authorized Licensed Mental Health Professional, having completed all requirements for Los Angeles County LPS designation to evaluate and/or place mentally disordered persons meeting criteria for Involuntary Hospitalizations on 5150 Holds for 72-hour emergency intervention. The Crisis Team Member will coordinate assessment information with the Medical Director, Program Director and/or Clinical Director/Charge Nurse and appropriate Community Agencies prior to disposition or transport.
Qualifications
- Req Degree in Mental Health or related field
- Req 3 years Current experience as a Licensed Mental Health Professional working with adult, geriatric and orthopedic patients.
- Pref Recent Psychiatric experience.
- Req Demonstrates ability to effectively work with physicians, staff, and patients.
- Req Excellent analytical, problem-solving, planning and evaluation skills.
- Req Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Req Able to function independently and as a member of a team.
- Req Committed to excellence in patient care and customer service.
- Req Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse (ANCC) Licensed Mental Health Professional in state of California; ◦ OR CA RN License
- Req Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association
- AB508 Certification - If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire or transfer into the department, and maintained by renewal before expiration date.
- Req Certification - Job Relevant LPS Designation
The hourly rate range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00.
