Purpose:
The District Field Install Team Manager is responsible for overseeing the creative workflow process and execution for all Field Install Teams in their region or district, which includes managing five or more stores in each market. This role involves building out new markets while maintaining the current region or district. The manager utilizes internal labor from the Field Install Team (FIT) to achieve company cost savings and controls capitalizable projects for our SSC partners. Additionally, they are tasked with detailing the monthly scope of work for each market based on the New Store Visual Merchandising (NSVM) and Store Requests.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree is required; relevant experience may substitute for the necessary education, with one calendar year of expertise equating to one academic year of education.
- Candidates must successfully pass a pre-employment background check, including a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
- A minimum of two to five years of relevant experience is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to execute the essential functions of the position.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in computer software, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite, are essential.
- Candidates must demonstrate effective problem-solving and team-building skills, with exempt-level experience in managing large projects, including budgeting and scheduling.
- Experience in managing a third-party labor team and vendors is required, along with the ability to facilitate communication and set expectations within the organization.
- A practical understanding of fast-paced, large-scale retail projects, focusing on existing store renovations and ground-up merchandising practices, is necessary.
- Exceptional customer service skills are required, along with the ability to perform effectively under pressure and multitask in a dynamic environment.
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license and pass a pre-employment background check.
Essential Job Functions:
FIT Responsibilities, Leadership, and Team Development
- Manage relationships with all Field Install Team Associates, including Project Managers, Field Install Managers, Field Install Supervisors, and Field Install Specialists, as well as Store Teams and Regional Teams within Districted FIT Markets, and all NSVM partners.
- Conduct quarterly FIT Store Performance Walks and provide ongoing training and development for Field Install Specialists (FIS), Field Install Supervisors (FISS), Field Install Managers (FIM), and Project Managers (PMs).
- Support NSVM Partners alongside Store and Regional Teams, ensuring that the requested scope aligns with forecasted hours based on the market's scheduled cadence.
- For NSVM Projects, ensure that the Field Install Teams accurately code hours to the projects' CPAR. Manage the schedule and timelines for all NSVM projects and Store Requests.
- Develop schedules for the rollout of projects to guarantee that due dates are met. Supervise field and SSC changes throughout the process. Collaborate with the NSVM team to establish standards and specifications.
- Fulfill the responsibilities of the District Install Manager as required to support the department's ongoing needs. Additional duties may be assigned to support Consolidated Reset and Store Operations Requests, including addressing safety concerns.
- Oversee Field and Administrative Management, ensuring that each Field Install Team within the district provides a Daily Recap Email with a detailed DFR Excel attachment to the Store Team. Provide a weekly recap to the SDRM, SDRO, SVP, and Senior Director of Execution for all markets.
- Facilitate a monthly CEM and Regional Call and collaborate weekly with the Divisional Directors of Execution and the Visual Merchandising Team. Host a weekly touch-base meeting with Field Install Managers and Supervisors within the District and Region.
Finance & Accounting
- Fiscal responsibilities of the district include carrying out and managing FIT hours per store & FIT/Execution project savings.
- Review, audit, & approve all direct reports (Field Install Managers/Supervisors) company credit cards/out-of-pocket report.
- Complete duties based on a working knowledge of P&Ls and cost-to-completion projections
- Accountable for the Spend and timeliness of all assigned projects
Administrative
- The fiscal responsibilities of the district encompass the management and execution of FIT hours for each store, as well as overseeing the savings generated from the FIT/Execution projects.
- Evaluate, review, and authorize all expense reports and company credit card statements submitted by direct reports, including Field Install Managers and Supervisors.
- Complete responsibilities by leveraging a solid understanding of profit and loss statements, along with cost-to-completion estimates.
- Responsible for managing project expenditure and ensuring the timely completion of all assigned tasks.
Working Conditions (travel, environment):
- Extensive travel required (30%), including air and car travel
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The work environment is typically moderately noisy.
Physical/Sensory Requirements
Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 40 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may also include walking or standing for brief periods.
