About the Role:
We’re looking for a skilled Phlebotomist to join our laboratory team! You'll play a key role in collecting quality specimens, supporting critical testing, and ensuring exceptional patient care.
What You'll Do:
Perform venipuncture and capillary collections accurately and efficiently
Prioritize STAT orders and respond quickly to urgent needs
Verify test orders and ensure specimens meet all labeling requirements
Conduct EKGs and specialized procedures (e.g., sweat chloride, bleeding time)
Communicate effectively with team members and support onboarding
Step in as an accession technician when qualified
What You Bring:
High school diploma or GED (required)
National Phlebotomy Certification (preferred)
Experience with Mysis Laboratory Information System
Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of basic biology, chemistry, and math
Ability to adapt in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Physical Demands:
Frequent standing and walking
Light lifting (up to 20 lbs)
Comfortable with computer use (~40% of the time)
Able to meet deadlines under occasional mental/visual fatigue
