Role overview
The Analyst supports senior Treasury & Payment Solutions sales professionals in originating, structuring, and executing treasury, liquidity, payments, card, and working-capital solutions for corporate, institutional, and government clients. The role combines client coverage, analytical support, disciplined execution, and coordination across product, implementation, service, risk, and Corporate Banking partners. Success requires strong judgment, commercial curiosity, attention to detail, and a consistent focus on client experience and responsible growth.

Key accountabilities

Client coverage and origination

• Support senior sales professionals in developing client strategies, identifying treasury and liquidity needs, and advancing opportunities across the sales pipeline.
• Prepare client and prospect research, meeting materials, presentations, proposals, requests for information, and pre- and post-call packages.
• Serve as a responsive point of contact for sales-related questions, bringing forward relevant ideas and coordinating timely answers across internal partners.
• Help deepen existing relationships and identify opportunities to expand product penetration, revenue, deposits, and overall relationship value.

Analysis and solution development

• Analyze client financial, operating, cash-flow, pricing, volume, and relationship data to identify needs and support appropriately structured recommendations.
• Translate complex information into clear insights, financial analyses, and client-ready materials that support decisions and demonstrate value.
• Maintain awareness of market, industry, regulatory, and competitive developments and apply relevant insights to client discussions.

Deal execution and client delivery

• Coordinate sales execution from discovery through documentation, approval, implementation, and activation, ensuring requirements, owners, and timelines are clear.
• Work across product, implementation, service, risk, legal, compliance, operations, and Corporate Banking teams to resolve issues and deliver a seamless client experience.
• Track implementation activity, client commitments, billing, and outstanding items; escalate risks or delays early and drive them to resolution.
• Maintain accurate client, pipeline, pricing, activity, and relationship information in the Bank’s systems and files.

Business management and teamwork

• Support calling plans, pipeline reviews, portfolio reporting, and strategic initiatives that advance business objectives and sales targets.
• Build effective internal and external relationships, contribute actively in meetings, and communicate recommendations with sound judgment.
• Identify opportunities to improve sales, service, reporting, and administrative processes, and help implement practical solutions.
• Provide guidance and coaching to Analysts, where applicable, while promoting a collaborative, inclusive, and accountable team environment.

Risk and controls

• Understand the credit, market, operational, legal, regulatory, and reputational risks associated with client activity and proposed solutions.
• Apply the Bank’s risk management framework, policies, controls, and approved risk appetite in all decisions and escalate concerns promptly.
• Deliver work that is timely, accurate, complete, and compliant with applicable laws, regulations, standards, and procedures.

Qualifications

• Typically 1 to 3 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience supporting treasury, payments, corporate banking, transaction execution, client coverage, or complex project delivery is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial and operational data and develop practical recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare polished materials and communicate effectively with senior internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated initiative, organization, and ownership, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurately under tight timelines.
• Strong collaboration and influencing skills, sound judgment, and confidence working across functions in a complex organization.
• Proficiency with relevant business technology and a willingness to learn new products, systems, and market developments.

$45,000.00 - $100,000.00

Salaried

The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
