Position Summary
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is a strategic role designed to align business objectives with employees and leaders across the organization. This position will support a designated business division and its leadership team. The HRBP collaborates across the HR function to deliver value-added services that reflect organizational goals while maintaining focus on project execution, business acumen, and operational excellence.
Duties and responsibilities
- HR leader for a business division of Groundworks.
- Serve as the primary HR partner to the division Senior Vice President and their team.
- Drive the HR agenda in support of the business strategy, including leading processes in leadership coaching and development, talent management, strategic workforce planning, employee engagement, organization design and culture, people analytics, and enterprise initiatives.
- Partner with the HR Operations and Employee Relations COE to deliver best-in-class services and guide Employee Relations outcomes in the context of the business division’s objectives.
- Provide performance management guidance to business leaders through coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Design and execute change management communication strategies to ensure clear messaging and stakeholder alignment.
- Work closely with leaders and employees to increase workforce productivity, engagement, and employee retention.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Legal, Finance, and Communications, to support HR-related initiatives as needed.
- Collaborate with the Total Rewards team to deliver solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
- Lead the development, documentation through creation of job aids and SOPs, and implementation of scalable HR processes and workflows to support organizational growth and operational efficiency.
- Analyze project outcomes and provide actionable insights to refine strategies and improve operational effectiveness.
- Develop and deliver high-quality presentations and reports, including data-driven insights, visuals, and strategic recommendations, tailored to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Ensure HR practices align with regulatory requirements and minimize legal risks.
- Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives, ensuring workforce representation aligns with market demographics.

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree in HR preferred.
- At least seven (7) years of professional HR experience, with a focus on HR business partnering, HR operations, HR project management, M&A support, process development, and/or business consulting.
- Ability to travel across the United States and Canada as needed (up to 30%-50% travel).
- Ability to support a distributed workforce across multiple locations. SHRM-CP or PHR is a plus.
- Experience with Workday is a plus.
Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including leadership development, organizational design, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state employment laws.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage and build relationships within HR and the broader business.
- Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Proven experience managing HR projects or initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
