Description
We are connecting with Critical Facilities Engineers for current and upcoming data center opportunities across Ashburn and Northern Virginia. These positions may be available within data center operations, facilities engineering, technical services, maintenance, or mission-critical infrastructure teams.
The roles are suited to engineers who can operate confidently in live environments where uptime, safety, procedural discipline, and rapid problem-solving are essential.
What the work may involve
Responsibilities will vary by facility and employer but may include:
- Operating and monitoring critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure.
- Completing scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Responding to alarms, equipment faults, and facility incidents.
- Performing routine inspections and recording equipment readings.
- Supporting electrical or mechanical switching activities.
- Following approved methods of procedure, standard operating procedures, and emergency operating procedures.
- Identifying single points of failure and escalating operational risks.
- Coordinating specialist vendors, contractors, and maintenance providers.
- Reviewing permits, risk assessments, and technical work plans.
- Supporting equipment upgrades, capacity expansions, and infrastructure projects.
- Assisting with testing, commissioning, and system turnover.
- Investigating faults and contributing to root-cause analysis.
- Maintaining accurate operational logs and maintenance records.
- Participating in emergency-response and business-continuity activities.

- Uninterruptible power supply systems.
