Senior Industrial CAPEX Project Manager

Industrial project scope

In this role, you are responsible for delivering complex multidisciplinary engineering projects in an industrial process environment. You oversee the full project lifecycle and take ownership of scope, budget, planning, quality and safety. The assignment covers both greenfield installations and substantial modifications to existing industrial assets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead industrial engineering projects from feasibility and concept definition through commissioning and final transfer to operations.
• Establish and manage project scope, deliverables, budget, business case, investment approval and the baseline schedule in MS Project.
• Steer all project stages, including pre-study, concept selection, basic and detailed engineering, procurement, contractor selection, construction, site execution, commissioning and handover.
• Serve as the main point of accountability for stakeholders and management throughout the project.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary internal and external teams across mechanical, electrical, automation, piping, civil and EHS domains.
• Manage changes in scope, project risks, claims and deviations that influence budget or timeline.
• Provide clear reporting on progress, decisions and issues to steering committees and senior stakeholders.

📝 Your profile

Technical profile requirements

• You have at least 10 years of experience as a Project Manager, with proven end-to-end responsibility for industrial CAPEX projects.
• You also bring at least 7 years of experience as a Project Engineer in disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, piping or civil engineering.
• You have solid experience with pre-feasibility and concept studies, CAPEX budgeting, investment approval processes and the commissioning of industrial installations.
• Experience in the process industry is required.
• You have strong hands-on expertise with MS Project and are used to building and owning project planning, not just monitoring it.
• You work at an academic level and combine strong analytical capabilities with a broad helicopter view.

Methodology / Certification requirements

• VCA-Vol is mandatory.
• PMP / Prince2 is a plus.
