Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline
- 7–10 years of experience in commercial credit analysis, business banking, or commercial banking
- Minimum of 3 years of portfolio management and/or underwriting experience supporting Middle Market clients
- Strong knowledge of commercial loan structuring, credit documentation, accounting principles, cash flow analysis, collateral evaluation, and lending regulations
- Experience preparing financial spreads, global cash flow analyses, credit memoranda, annual reviews, and commercial loan packages
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate repayment capacity, guarantor strength, collateral coverage, covenant compliance, and overall credit risk
- Strong written and verbal communication, organization, analytical judgment, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities, maintain accuracy, and perform effectively in a deadline-driven environment
- Working knowledge of BSA/AML, CIP, OFAC, fair lending, and other applicable banking regulations
Description:
- Manage the ongoing credit quality and administration of assigned Middle Market commercial banking relationships.
- Analyze new loan requests, renewals, modifications, and existing credit exposures.
- Prepare comprehensive credit memoranda, financial spreads, global cash flow analyses, and commercial loan approval packages.
- Evaluate proposed loan structures, repayment sources, collateral support, guarantor capacity, covenant requirements, and overall transaction risk.
- Assign and maintain accurate risk grades in accordance with established credit policy and portfolio monitoring standards.
- Guide commercial loan requests through the underwriting and credit approval process, addressing questions and documentation needs as they arise.
- Conduct annual reviews and monitor financial reporting requirements, covenant compliance, documentation exceptions, past-due credits, and emerging risk indicators.
- Maintain complete and accurate credit files while ensuring adherence to internal policies and applicable lending regulations.
- Partner closely with Relationship Managers, Credit Administration, Loan Operations, Compliance, and other internal stakeholders.
- Support the preparation of client presentations and participate in customer or prospect meetings as needed.
- Identify changes in borrower performance, industry conditions, or collateral position and recommend appropriate risk-mitigation strategies.
- Report to commercial credit leadership and provide timely portfolio updates, risk assessments, and escalation of material credit concerns.
