As a Senior Platform Engineer, you’ll design, build and evolve platform capabilities that improve developer experience, security, reliability and delivery velocity across the enterprise.
This is a hands-on platform engineering role focused on building reusable services, automation, cloud infrastructure and self-service capabilities. You’ll work across software engineering, platform operations, security and architecture to reduce friction, raise engineering standards and help teams move faster without compromising control, resilience or security.
You’ll lead by example, solve complex platform problems, contribute to architecture decisions, reduce technical debt and help shape the long-term direction of platform technology.

You will be part of a team focused on building platform capabilities that support secure access, automation and self-service across the enterprise. This includes helping ensure the right people have the right access to systems and platforms, while improving the experience for our people through reusable services and engineering-led solutions.
In this role, you’ll:
Design, build and operate scalable platform capabilities, shared services and internal developer products.
Create self-service tooling, APIs and automation that reduce manual effort and improve engineering velocity.
Drive modern platform engineering practices including CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automated testing and secure release patterns.
Improve platform reliability, observability, performance, resilience and operational maturity.
Partner with engineering teams to identify delivery friction and convert repeated problems into reusable platform capabilities.
Build secure-by-design patterns across cloud, identity, secrets, deployment and runtime environments.
Coach engineers through technical design, code reviews and operational readiness practices.
Support production systems, incident resolution and post-incident improvement actions.

We don’t expect you to know everything, but experience in several of the following will set you up for success:
Platform engineering, cloud engineering or software engineering experience, with a focus on building reusable services, automation or internal developer platforms in enterprise or large-scale environments.
Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, Go or TypeScript.
Experience building and operating cloud-native platforms on AWS, Azure or GCP.
Strong experience with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code and DevSecOps practices.
Experience with Kubernetes, containers, APIs, microservices and distributed systems.
Understanding of platform reliability, observability, monitoring, incident management, software security, identity, authentication and authorisation patterns.
You’ll bring strong ownership, pragmatic engineering judgement and a systems-thinking mindset. You’ll be comfortable operating in ambiguity, simplifying complex environments and leading through credibility, delivery and technical depth.
Desirable skills and experience:
Exposure to any of the following would be valuable:
Identity and access management technologies.
OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML and modern authentication architectures.
Platform security, privileged access management or secrets management.
Service mesh, API gateways and event-driven architectures.
Observability platforms including Splunk, Grafana, Datadog or similar.
HashiCorp Vault, CyberArk, Microsoft Entra or related identity and security platforms.
AI-assisted engineering, automation and internal engineering productivity tools.
Developer portals, golden paths, templates and paved-road engineering patterns.
