The Nursing Research Program Director directs and manages activities of the Office of Nursing Research and Evidence Based Practice.
This position provides oversight of strategic initiatives and expert consultation related to nursing research and evidence-based practice for Patient Care Services.Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire: Current RN licensure in Virginia or eligible Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment: Current RN Licensure in Virginia Experience REQUIRED: Five (5) years of experience in nursing practice, education or research Experience conducting clinically-based research, disseminating findings through publication and presentation, and applying findings in a practice Experience in the following areas: leadership and mentoring, initiating and managing interdisciplinary team, managing complex tasks working with a range of educational and cultural backgrounds, identifying and using a range of research-related resources including relevant computer applications Experience PREFERRED Experience in staff education and/or program development Education/training REQUIRED: PhD in Nursing or closely related field from an accredited program. Master’s Degree in Nursing is required, if PhD degree is not in Nursing. Education and training sufficient for eligibility for faculty appointment in the VCU School of Nursing Education/training PREFERRED: N/A Independent action(s) required: Advice and guidance are sought from Nursing leadership on an as needed situational basis and when there is a major impact other areas/departments. Actions that are taken without prior approval include operational functions and leadership of staff. Supervisory responsibilities (if applicable): Supervises assigned personnel Additional position requirements: N/A Age Specific groups served: N/A Physical Requirements (includes use of assistance devices as appropriate): Physical Lifting less than 20 lbs. Compensation Range
$92,290.00 - $152,277.00Actual salary offers will be based on several key factors to include relevant work experience, credentials, and qualifications.
