Description
Purpose of Role:
As a key member of Equiti’s Product Team, our organization’s central hub, you’ll have the opportunity to shape how Salesforce supports our organization and the health systems we serve. Salesforce is central to how we sell, serve, and support our customers, connecting teams across Sales, Account Management, Language Operations, Customer Care, and Customer Experience.
This is a highly visible opportunity to take ownership of Salesforce as both a solution and a platform—and to build the processes, systems, and data practices that will help Equiti scale. We will be looking for you to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and establish new ways of working that make a lasting impact across the organization.
We are hiring for two things above all: strong collaboration and solutioning skills, with the ability to understand complex, evolving problems and design thoughtful solutions across process, system, and data; and hands-on Salesforce expertise, with the ability to build, test and continuously improve those solutions yourself. Formal product management craft is a welcome bonus rather than a requirement.
Essential Responsibilities:
Collaboration, solutioning, and companywide process
- Partner with function leaders as a peer, co-designing processes with the teams who will run them rather than gathering requirements and disappearing until launch.
- Run discovery on problems that arrive badly framed, and judge the right instrument each time: configuration, development, integration, or a process change with no build at all.
- Pilot with one team, prove the solution in real conditions, then scale it across the business instead of leaving value trapped with whoever asked first.
- Run a single, transparent intake and prioritization process. Where two functions want incompatible things, surface the tradeoff and drive it to a decision.
Hands-on Salesforce administration
- Configure and build directly where you are the fastest path to value: objects, fields, flows, validation rules, layouts, reports, and dashboards. You will have the freedom to use these skills and are expected to.
- Prototype in a sandbox and test a workflow with the team that will use it before committing engineering or partner effort.
- Own the access and security model with IT and Security, including profiles, permission sets, roles, and sharing rules, with care where PHI boundaries are involved.
- Handle data quality hands-on where warranted, evaluate seasonal releases in sandbox, and keep routine provisioning and ticket queues off your desk by making teams self-sufficient.
Adoption, enablement, and championing the platform
- Be the internal voice of the platform. Publish visible direction and communicate what shipped and why it matters to the people it affects.
- Run role-based enablement across every function that uses Salesforce, and build a champions network with a named power user in each to drive adoption and surface friction early.
- Find and retire shadow processes, maintain one source of truth for how Salesforce is meant to be used, and track adoption and data quality as outcomes you own.
Data, customer lifecycle, and standards
- Establish Salesforce as the authoritative source for customer and commercial metadata, and partner with the Data and Analytics product manager so that identifiers and hierarchies reconcile with VIP usage data and Sisense analytics.
- Work with Language Operations so that contracted languages, modalities, and coverage are captured early in a form the staffing model can consume, and with Customer Experience to make onboarding, adoption, health, and renewal risk legible.
- Ensure what you own or configure meets Equiti’s accessibility standard of WCAG 2.2 Level AA, and support compliance with the Chief Information Security and Privacy Officer on access, audit logging, and PHI.
Leadership, strategy, and roadmap management
- Own the Salesforce product strategy and roadmap, connecting platform decisions to Equiti’s commercial goals, customer lifecycle needs, and operational priorities.
- Maintain a clear now, next, later roadmap that makes priorities, sequencing, dependencies, and tradeoffs visible to leadership and cross-functional partners.
- Lead executive-level prioritization conversations by translating technical constraints, data quality gaps, and process dependencies into business decisions.
- Define success measures for roadmap investments, including adoption, data quality, operational efficiency, customer visibility, and measurable business impact.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Required: collaboration and solutioning
- A track record of taking an ambiguous cross-functional problem and delivering a working solution, including the process change and not only the system change. What you implemented company wide matters more than what you specified.
- Credibility with commercial, operational, and technical audiences: able to tell a senior stakeholder no, co-design with a skeptical team, and explain a tradeoff to either. Experience with operations functions such as language operations, customer care, or customer experience.
- Comfort living successfully within ambiguity, including the judgment to make timely decisions with incomplete information, test the assumptions behind those decisions, and adjust as better data emerges.
Required: hands-on Salesforce administration
- Demonstrated administrator capability: declarative configuration, Flow, permissions and sharing, reports and dashboards, sandbox management, and data loading. You should be able to build a working prototype, not just describe one. Salesforce Certified Administrator strongly preferred.
- A working understanding of the standard data model and the platform’s practical limits, enough to challenge a proposed solution and review partner work critically.
Bonus: AI-enabled product management
- Ability to incorporate AI into day-to-day product management work, from documentation and research synthesis to prototyping, workflow design, and stakeholder communication.
- Practical familiarity with tools such as Claude, Microsoft Copilot, and ChatGPT, including when to use each responsibly to accelerate analysis, drafting, prototyping, and product decision support.
Relevant Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
- Sitting/Stationary: Often requires sitting at a desk and looking at a computer screen for 70% - 90% of the workday.
- Fine Finger Dexterity: High use of keyboards, computer mice, and standard office equipment.
- Lifting/Moving: Minimal physical exertion; occasionally required to lift or carry office supplies, files, or packages weighing up to 15 - 50 lbs.
- Mobility: Intermittent standing, walking, and bending or stooping to retrieve files.
