As a Dispatcher supporting a manufacturing and industrial location, you will coordinate communications, monitor activity, document incidents, and dispatch personnel as needed to help maintain a secure environment. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Security Experience:

• Candidates must have a minimum of one year of relevant security experience (C115). This experience should be documented and verifiable through previous employment or training.

Valid Driver's License:

• All candidates must possess a valid  driver’s license in accordance with the AU Driver Policy Requirements (C123). A copy of the driver’s license must be submitted as part of the application process.

Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet:

• Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in using computers or tablets (B204). This includes familiarity with basic software applications and the ability to navigate digital platforms effectively.

Customer Service Experience:

• A background in customer service is required (B219). Candidates should provide evidence of their experience in customer-facing roles, highlighting their ability to communicate effectively and resolve issues.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, visitors, faculty, staff, and clients by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at an industrial location.
• Monitor incoming calls, radio traffic, alarms, access-control notifications, and other communications; document and route requests for assistance to appropriate personnel.
• Dispatch officers and/or emergency responders to incidents, service calls, and critical situations, maintaining calm, professional communication and accurate incident logs.
• Maintain dispatch records, daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Assist with access-control and visitor-related communications, escalating unusual activity or facility concerns to designated contacts and following established protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
