What will your role look like?

As a RISK AND CONTROLS SENIOR ANALYST FOR THE CEE MARKET, together with the Risk and Controls Lead for CEE, you will support the business across internal controls, compliance and risk-related matters.

On a day-to-day basis, you will:

• act as a senior Risk and Controls specialist for the CEE market, providing support and advice to various teams on key areas such as anti-bribery and corruption, internal controls and WPP policy requirements,
• support the design and implementation of financial, operational and compliance controls in line with WPP internal control guidelines,
• reinforce WPP and WPP Media policies and control requirements, communicating updates and changes to the business clearly and concisely,
• propose solutions to strengthen the control environment and improve and standardise processes, procedures and controls,
• support the development of compliance procedures for the CEE market,
• ensure that internal controls, processes and systems comply with local laws and regulations, Group procedures and client contract requirements,
• become a subject matter expert in the systems and tools used by the Risk and Controls team,
• support the coordination of controls, SOX and internal audits,
• participate in and, where needed, facilitate walkthroughs with internal and external auditors,
• report audit results to management and monitor the timely resolution of issues identified during controls and audits,
• build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues across the global and EMEA Risk and Controls teams.

What will help you succeed in this role?

• experience in finance and accounting, including knowledge of IFRS,
• very good knowledge of internal controls and SOX requirements,
• at least 2 years of professional experience in a similar role within an international organization,
• the ability to work independently and demonstrate a high level of professional ethics,
• a curious, proactive mindset and willingness to learn,
• strong analytical skills and attention to detail,
• knowledge of business systems,
• proficiency in Microsoft Office,
• very good spoken and written English.

It would be an advantage if you also have:

• experience in the media or advertising industry,
• ACA, CA, ACCA, CIA or an equivalent qualification.
