The Baccarat Hotel is seeking a passionate and experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong culinary background, exceptional leadership skills, and a dedication to maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation. Previous experience working in a union environment, local 6 is required. NYC food protection certificate is required.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations and staff.
• Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality.
• Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs.
• Develop and test new recipes, ensuring they meet our standards and guest expectations.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative and seasonal menus.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Executive Sous Chef in a high-end or luxury dining establishment.
• Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
• NYC food protection certificate is required.
