Seed Production Research and Stock Seed Manager- Jalna (Maharashtra)
A strong seed supply foundation begins with effective stock seed management, high-quality seed production research, and close coordination across breeding, production, and supply chain teams. This role is critical in taking informed decisions on New product introduction (NPI’s) and ensuring the timely availability of quality stock seeds and driving continuous improvement in seed production processes.
Make a Difference as a Seed Production Research & Stock Seed Manager
As a Seed Production Research & Stock Seed Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing stock seed management and seed production research activities to support breeding, product development, and commercial seed production objectives. You will work closely with Breeding, Production, Product Development, Quality control, and Supply Chain teams to ensure decision on NPI’s, reliable seed availability, optimize production processes, and maintain high-quality standards.
In This Role, Your Work Will Include:
Lead and manage stock seed production, maintenance, inventory, and distribution activities.
Conduct production trials on NPI’s.
Develop and execute seed production research trials to improve seed yield, quality, reliability, and operational efficiency.
Coordinate with breeders and product development teams to ensure timely multiplication and availability of breeder and foundation seed.
Monitor stock seed inventory levels and develop production plans to meet future breeding and commercial requirements.
Ensure compliance with quality standards, phytosanitary requirements, and company protocols throughout seed production activities.
Analyze production data and research outcomes to identify improvement opportunities and support data-driven decision-making.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in seed production methods, processes, and technologies.
Lead and develop the seed production research and stock seed team while fostering collaboration across functions.
Working / application of ERP in day-to-day operations.

As a Seed Production Research & Stock Seed Manager, you bring strong expertise in seed production, stock seed management, crop husbandry, data analysis, and stakeholder collaboration. You have a passion for operational excellence and continuous improvement, coupled with the ability to translate research findings into practical production solutions that support business growth and seed quality objectives.
In Addition, You Possess the Following:
Master's or Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Seed Technology, Plant Breeding, Horticulture, or a related field.
6-8 years of relevant experience in seed production, Production research and stock seed management.
Proven experience in planning and managing stock seed inventories and seed multiplication programs.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in data-driven decision-making.
Knowledge of seed quality standards, seed certification requirements, and phytosanitary regulations.
Experience in leading teams and working effectively in a cross-functional environment.
Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Readiness to work at Jalna location.
Proficient in ERP, MS office Suite.
