About the role

Join Motion as a Hose Assembly Specialist based in Mount Maunganui. You’ll manufacture, inspect, test and certify hose assemblies, delivering quality workmanship and excellent customer service both in the workshop and on-site.

Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you’ll help ensure workshop operations run safely, efficiently and on time. Ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, a commitment to safety and pride in delivering high-quality work.


What kind of work may be involved?

  • Manufacture hose assemblies and related products to required standards and customer specifications
  • Inspect, test and certify assemblies in accordance with industry standards
  • Provide prompt, courteous and professional service to customers in the workshop and on-site
  • Complete job sheets, timesheets and other required documentation accurately and on time
  • Maintain workshop equipment, tools and work areas to a safe, clean and reliable standard
  • Participate in training and share knowledge with colleagues
  • Travel or work away from the region from time to time when required

Ideal skills & experience:

  • Physically fit and able to lift small to large objects (minimum 20kgs).
  • Full NZ driver’s license.
  • Team player attitude. 
  • Core engineering, fabrication or mechanical skills
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and an interest in developing industry-related qualifications
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • A strong work ethic, with the ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively
  • Experience working safely in workshop or industrial environments
  • A demonstrated commitment to health and safety procedures and compliance
  • The flexibility to work at customer sites and occasionally away from home if required
