Overview
The fellowship is a mutually beneficial relationship between Children's Mercy and the Fellow, which supports the teaching mission of the organization. The program provides a structured set of practical experiences in the field of health care administration. It offers the fellow opportunities to create and explore a variety of field experiences in a diverse health care setting, while the Fellow identifies, prioritizes and implements key projects that benefit the organization.

- Effectively conducts rotations throughout hospital areas to optimize understanding of hospital operations, human resource needs, and processes.
- Seek and contribute to projects which offer a learning opportunity.
- Develop relationships with management team to understand career paths and options available to hospital leaders.
- Execute fellowship with appropriate guidance.
- Attend standing meetings with educational value
Qualifications
- Master's Degree Graduate degree from a master’s level program at an preferably from an accredited college or university, preferable from a health care administration program. Past candidates have possessed an MBA, MHSA, MPA, MPH, or joint master’s degree. Must be a graduate by the time the fellowship position begins unless school program stipulates a residency/fellowship as a degree requirement. and No Experience necessary / On-the-Job Training Internship in a health care setting preferred.
Starting Pay
Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $28.20/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.
