And we are looking for someone who lives to serve and knows that teamwork is the foundation of success to join our team as a Pastry Cook.

As a Pastry Cook, you will assist in creating a lasting impression for our guests. We provide upscale desserts and pastries to a variety of events around the St. Louis Area. No two events are the same, so it is always an exciting place to learn and grow your pastry career!

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Arrive at your station ready to work at scheduled time and in proper uniform 
• Work at a brisk and steady pace, including multitasking, efficiency, and time management
• Recipe knowledge when prepping or assisting with any other production step 
• Use scales, commercial equipment, recipe cards and perform portion control tests 
• Maintain the kitchen and all of its equipment to a “like new” condition  
• Understand the importance of producing a consistent, quality product that meets and exceed the guests’ needs in a timely and efficient manner
• Prepare a variety of baked goods and pastries including, but not limited to: Cookie Doughs, Cakes, Brownies, Muffins, Breakfast Breads, Custards, mousses, etc.
• Decorate and Present Pastries and baked goods in a tasteful and beautiful way
• Knowledge of how baking ingredients work together and how they can be used in creative ways
• Attention to detail
• Physical strength and stamina to spend long hours standing and performing repetitive motions
• Assist in the training of new pastry employees
• Other job duties as assigned

Additional Qualifications and Requirements:

Has or is in process of obtaining an Associates Degree in Baking and Pastry Arts, or 2 years Production Pastry experience with a Bakery, Caterer, or Restaurant.
