Position: Regional Organizing Director – Grand Rapids/Kalamazoo

Compensation: $54,000 - $60,000

Position Travel/Driving Percentage: 75%

Reports to: State Director

 

Founded in 2016, For Our Future Action Fund and For Our Future run a year-round progressive field program across battleground states, focused on engaging voters on economic issues facing working families. Along with community partners and volunteers, we consistently engage with people in face-to-face conversations around socio-economic issues, encouraging them to take action on issues and in elections. By organizing people in lasting relationships, we win elections, pass progressive policies, drive local progress, make a community’s collective voice heard, and help build the transformative power needed to improve people’s lives.

 

For Our Future recognizes a staff bargaining unit, affiliated with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) 494, a labor union. This position is NOT included in the For Our Future bargaining unit. 

 

For Our Future Michigan seeks a Regional Organizing Director (ROD) for an organizing and paid canvassing program in West and Southwest Michigan. The ROD will recruit, train, and manage teams on local and national causes, candidates, and campaigns that matter to them. They will also be responsible for executing the statewide field plan, political organizing, and supervising the volunteer operations. This position requires frequent travel throughout the Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo regions.
