Job Description:
The Direct Contract Operations Consultant manages contract lifecycle activities, including request triage, signature execution, customer onboarding, and contract maintenance within HPE contracting systems. This role resolves operational challenges, supports business objectives through effective contract solutions, and drives continuous improvement through process optimization and automation opportunities.
Responsibilities
Manage contract lifecycle activities, including customer onboarding, agreement signatures, modifications, renewals.
Serve as a subject matter expert on contract operations processes, agreement structures, and customer-specific contractual requirements.
Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on contract-related matters and available business solutions.
Review contractual documentation and identify deviations, or issues requiring escalation.
Maintain contractual records, templates, exhibits, and supporting documentation in accordance with business requirements and established procedures.
Conduct contractual research and data analysis to support business decisions and operational requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve contract-related issues and ensure timely execution of customer requests.
Support the implementation of new processes, tools, and operational initiatives.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and standardization to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
Utilize contract management, reporting, and business systems to support operational activities and decision-making.
Education and Experience Required
University degree in Business Administration, Communications, Information Technology, Law, or a related field.
Typically 2-4 years of experience in contract operations, business operations, account management, sales support, legal operations, or a similar business environment.
Experience working with customer-facing or cross-functional teams is preferred.
Knowledge and Skills Required
Fluent written and verbal English skills
Strong process discipline with the ability to execute activities in accordance with defined procedures, playbooks, and operational guidelines.
Good understanding of basic contract terminology, agreement structures, and commercial concepts.
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and high-volume workloads.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to review contractual documentation, identify exceptions, and escalate issues as appropriate.
Sound judgment and problem-solving skills within established policies and guidelines.
Proficiency with contract management systems, legal technology platforms, and Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to work independently and effectively collaborate with stakeholders across multiple functions.
