Are you ready to take the next big step in your culinary career? Four Seasons Hotel Toronto is looking for a Part-Time Staff Cafeteria Commis I who shares our passion for food and cooking and is willing to learn from and contribute to our culinary team.
What you will do:
- Prepare and serve nutritious, high-quality meals for employees in the Staff Cafeteria.
- Assist with daily food preparation, cooking, plating, and service in accordance with established recipes, menus, and production sheets.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety.
- Work collaboratively with the culinary team to ensure efficient kitchen operations and a positive dining experience for staff.
- Support inventory management, food storage, and proper handling procedures.
- Follow all health, safety, and safe food handling requirements.
- Perform continuous standing for up to 8 hours per shift and safely lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Assist other culinary operations when required.
What you will bring:
- A passion for food preparation and delivering quality meals in a fast-paced environment.
- A minimum of 1 year of kitchen or cook experience in a high-volume food and beverage operation.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a positive, can-do attitude.
- The ability to work effectively and collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors.
- Strong communication skills and a good command of the English language.
- The ability to read and follow recipes, menus, and production sheets, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Proficient knife skills and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- An outgoing personality, adaptability, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to staff.
- Valid Food Handler's Certification is an asset.
- Culinary training diploma or certificate is preferred.

Schedule & Hours:
