Senior Lead Sourcing Consultant - Strategic Sourcing - Supply Chain Management

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Sourcing Consultant within our Strategic Sourcing - Supply Chain Management team.

In this role, you will:

• Advise leadership to develop and manage spend categories and strategies
• Lead contract negotiations for complex products or services, and suppliers
• Lead the strategy related to sourcing and contracting activities and expense reduction initiatives
• Deliver solutions that are long-term, large scale and accountable for category savings for multiple categories and supplier performance measurements
• Improve category effectiveness and efficiencies
• Provide vision, direction, and expertise to leadership
• Lead structured evaluation of supplier industry, economics, and market conditions
• Define and approve spend categories to determine optimal sequencing, definition, and parameters of commodities
• Manage categories or select groups of vendors from a life cycle perspective with a focus on reducing cost, and increasing overall value of suppliers
• Engage as a trained advisor to determine the long-term needs and applicable supply and service strategies
• Act as the primary liaison for current and potential suppliers
• Resolve systemic and recurring supplier and customer issues
• Train, lead and mentor less experienced staff

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of Sourcing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

• 10+ years negotiating enterprise Technology and Software contracts
• Deep negotiations experience with IBM's products and services
• Fundamental understanding of contract law, including a minimum of seven (7) years’ experience drafting, reviewing, and interpreting contracts, with deep knowledge of IBM's products and services (Hardware, Software) and negotiating contracts with them.
• Comprehensive sourcing and contract negotiation experience with suppliers in the Technology categories (e.g., IT consulting, software, and hosted technology)
• Ability to project manage deals and drive results, including engaging and working with legal, financial and stakeholders.
• Strong benchmarking and financial analyses capabilities with experience negotiating contracts and sourcing for a large complex organization in a highly regulated environment.
• Proficiency with leading web-based contract management, strategic sourcing (RFx), and reverse auction tools (i.e., Ariba).
• Experience managing third party relationships and conducting business reviews.
• Ability to provide leadership by coaching, training, and mentoring.
• Ability to quickly establish credibility by building and maintaining effective working relationships with high ethics and integrity.
• Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong listening skills to distinguish true client needs and influence sustainable outcomes.
• Strong Excel (emphasis on modeling) and PowerPoint skills (distilling complicated issues for executives)
• Excellent business and financial acumen to apply supply chain and operations for cost optimization.
• Prior Sales and/or Consulting experience is a plus

Job Expectations:

• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
• Hybrid Schedule - 3 days in the office, 2 remote

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities. $139,000.00 - $239,000.00
