Logan Health is seeking a strategic, data-driven professional for our newly created Nursing Workforce Analyst position!
What You’ll Do:
This position is responsible for analyzing workforce trends, staffing capacity, labor utilization, turnover, absenteeism, and leave activity to support operational and strategic workforce planning and decision-making. The role serves as a key analytical partner to operational leaders, Human Resources, Finance, Staffing, and Talent Acquisition by translating complex workforce data into actionable insights that support workforce stability, capacity planning, and the optimization of nursing staffing across our inpatient units.
You’ll partner with nursing leaders and other stakeholders to interpret workforce data, forecast staffing needs, identify coverage gaps, and recommend appropriate staffing levels, position openings, shift adjustments, and labor resource strategies.

Job Location: Kalispell, Montana
This is an on-site position based at Logan Health Medical Center in scenic Kalispell, Montana. We’re located in the heart of the Flathead Valley, near Glacier National Park, Flathead Lake, and endless hiking and biking trails. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Healthcare Administration, Finance, Statistics, Data Analytics, or related field required
Three (3) years of workforce analytics, workforce planning, HR analytics, operational analytics, financial analytics, healthcare analytics or a related analytical discipline required.
Experience analyzing large, complex datasets and using business intelligence, reporting, data visualization, or statistical analysis tools required.
Experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
Experience supporting nursing or other clinical workforce planning preferred.
Experience with workforce planning, staffing analysis, or labor productivity measurement preferred.
Experience developing workforce forecasts, staffing models, executive dashboards, or other analytical decision-support tools preferred.

Job Specific Duties:
Develops and maintains workforce dashboards, reports, and key performance indicators to monitor staffing trends, labor utilization, turnover, retention, absenteeism, and other workforce metrics.
Analyzes workforce data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and root causes, providing actionable insights and recommendations to operational and executive leaders.
Develops workforce forecasts and capacity-planning analyses to support current and future staffing needs across the organization.
Evaluates the impact of vacancies, leaves of absence, onboarding, workforce transitions, and other staffing factors and recommends proactive strategies to mitigate workforce risks.
Partners with leaders to interpret workforce data, identify staffing challenges, and support data-driven workforce and resource allocation decisions.
Provides analytical support for workforce optimization initiatives, staffing model evaluations, capacity planning, resource allocation, and business case development.
Ensures the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of workforce data through validation, auditing, and collaboration with key stakeholders.
Identifies and implements process improvements that enhance workforce reporting, analytics, measurement, and organizational effectiveness.
Establishes and maintains standardized workforce metrics, definitions, and reporting methodologies to support consistent workforce analysis and decision-making.

Day Shift - 8 Hours (United States of America)Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, 8-hour day shifts
Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
