The Opportunity:

Rocket Travel by Agoda is seeking a Compliance Program Manager – Partner Controls and Compliance to join our growing Partner Controls and Compliance team. In this role, you will play an essential part in safeguarding the interests and enhancing the success of our partners by navigating, monitoring, and gatekeeping complex and evolving partner requirements. You will tackle complex compliance challenges with thorough research surfacing gaps, identifying trade-offs, and enabling informed decision-making. This role will shape the future of our compliance program through optimization to identify inefficiencies, recommend improvements, and implement solutions that scale.This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity and success of our partnerships.

What You'll Do:

• Execute the day-to-day management and continuous optimization of the Compliance Management System (CMS). The four main elements of the program include:

  • Element 1: Coordinate the end-to-end process for external assessments, ensuring timely remediation and ongoing improvement of the control environment. Maintain organized archives of support materials.

  • Element 2: Monitor vendor information and activities; flag emerging risks or control gaps early; validate that monitoring aligns with partner requirements and escalate misalignments.

  • Element 3: Own the design, delivery, and effectiveness of annual compliance training programs ensuring partner requirements are met. 

  • Element 4: Contribute to the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of compliance governance documentation and reporting.

• Support as a risk and compliance subject matter expert to our highly regulated external partners. Own solutions to complex partner requirements with the ability to communicate to partners concisely. 

• Advise internal cross-functional teams on compliance requirements, risk mitigation, and process improvements; delivering well-researched recommendations.

• Promote a culture of integrity and accountability through clear communication and collaboration across all organizational levels.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Risk Management, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, or process improvement.

• Solid understanding of internal controls, regulatory frameworks, and Compliance Management Systems (CMS).

• Self-motivated and proactive problem solver, with the ability to navigate ambiguity to deliver strong results.

• Experience improving Governance, Risk, & Compliance (GRC) tools and compliance processes with a demonstrated track record of identifying gaps and delivering process enhancements.

• Identifies and implements opportunities to use AI and automation to enhance compliance efficiency while ensuring that all AI-driven recommendations are validated.

• Excels at managing multiple priorities across partnerships autonomously and maintains accountability for cross-functional execution.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to distill complex information into clear, actionable insights for various audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with banking partners or airline partners.
• Project management in the travel industry. 

 

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. In addition to a competitive base salary, roles are eligible to be considered for an annual bonus.

 

The range for Chicago-metro area is $75,000-$112,000.
