Position: Junior Stock Controller

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Junior Stock Controller to join our team in Johannesburg, South Africa. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring that stock levels are always sufficient to meet customer demand.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained at all times
• Receive and inspect incoming stock, ensuring accuracy and quality
• Record all stock movements and maintain accurate inventory records
• Perform regular stock checks and report any discrepancies to management
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of stock
• Assist in the preparation of purchase orders and invoices
• Communicate with other departments to ensure stock levels meet production and sales demands
• Conduct regular stock audits to identify slow-moving or obsolete stock
• Assist in the implementation of inventory management systems and procedures
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the handling and storage of stock

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a stock control or inventory management role preferred
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management software
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in stock management
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Contract Details:
