Job Description Summary
The successful candidate will serve as Customer Training Project Manager for GE Vernova One Field Services Customer Training. The team's primary product is Customer Training, supporting Heavy Duty Thermal Turbine as well as Aero Turbine Controls, Maintenance and Operations Training. This role will be responsible for the entire product life cycle, from Inquiry to Remittance of Customer Training in the assigned region and support part of the global, complex proposal creation activities.Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership for the successful offering and execution of Customer Training Projects
- Act as Customer Training point of contact for the assigned region
- Work with Regional Operations team, the Customer and Gas Power OFS Training Team to coordinate overall training offering (R0 to R3) and execution (R4) with respect to quality, scope, expectations, schedule and financials in accordance with the Delegation of Authority process.
- Understand and communicate contractual training requirements, including scope and any non-standard requirements to assigned Instructors
- Own and be responsible for generating complex quotes for Multi Year Agreements, Simulators and Non-Standard Customer Training Programs globally, which includes an accurate cost build-up, price guideline, Customer-facing proposal document and metrics reporting.
- Stakeholder management: Customer, Gas Power-OFS Training, regional operations- and other GEV teams as well as external parties
- Support instructor and product line training leader preparedness and ensure successful procurement of equipment shipping, visas, translations, manual creation, acquisition of customer site-specific material including drawings and software.
- Work to implement, improve and drive consistent processes and methodologies within the assigned scope
- Manage project budget and schedule, control risks and enhance margin
- Actively support sales and drive up-sales during execution, serve as subject matter expert for Customer Training and central point of contact for the assigned scope and region
- Manage the as sold change order process for scope changes and quote updates within the assigned region
- Manage regular ITR project reporting and mid-long-term project forecasting
- Build strong relationship with Gas Power Regional operation teams
- Represent OFS Customer Training to customers at user conferences, customer meetings and other customer facing events.
- Support global Customers coming for site-specific training to the Houston Learning Center.
Qualification/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or a High School Diploma / GED and 5 years equivalent experience in technical, operational or education discipline
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the power generation industry
- Demonstrated project management skills and passion for Project Management
- Proven Customer Centric Mindset
- Ability to speak, read and write fluent English
- Skilled at leading in a multi-location matrix organization; capable of influencing and leading cross functional team members despite limited authority
- Proven manage multiple complex issues in parallel
- Ability to manage details across multiple customers and projects
- Ability to influence and gain commitment at all levels of the organization
- Must be willing to build product technical skills on the entire GE Gas Power product portfolio, Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, Controls and acquire working knowledge of power plant operation.
Desired Characteristics
- PMP Certification, Project Management Leadership Program (PMLP) Graduate, or another Project Management Training
- Experience with GE commercial processes, speak same language as sales/comm ops GE Operations experience (i.e. Services, Engineering, Commercial)
- Communication skills, both written and oral
- Understanding of commercial finance with proficiency in excel
- At least three years of experience working in training or Power Generation Services
- At least three years of project management / leadership experience
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and to develop and execute strategic plans; results oriented
- Excellent written and oral communication skills to convey technical concepts to business and technical personnel
- Excellent presentation skills to an audience with a wide range of experience levels
- Experience with interpreting or applying Contract terms & conditions and binding agreements
- Process-focused with Quality experience (Six Sigma Greenbelt certified preferred)

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $104,200.00 and $173,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
