Description
CNC Machine Setup Operator
This position will perform setup of the CNC Swiss Screw Machines by interpreting part specifications and Process Set-Up Sheets to manufacture precision handheld medical devices for the dental industry from aluminum, titanium, stainless or brass raw bar stock.
We currently have an opening for 1st shift (6:00am - 4:30pm) Tuesday through Friday-4/10s schedule
About The Team The CNC Machining team utilizes a variety of CNC equipment to manufacture precision components for use in handheld medical devices for the dental industry. The completed devices are used around the world by dentistry professionals to perform a variety of procedures critical to patient's overall health. We look for people who are highly motivated team players passionate about high precision CNC Machining.
About The Job
- Work within tight tolerance ranges with a high level of precision and attention to detail
- Understanding of programming with the ability to make necessary adjustments at start up to produce nominal parts
- Possess the ability to interpret part drawing and GD&T requirements
- Must have solid understanding of inspection and gaging techniques utilizing measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, comparators, plug and ring gages
- Possess a mechanical ability and aptitude to perform troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on Star and Citizen CNC Screw Machines
- Understanding of tooling required for the CNC processes
- Make complete set up, including loading of program, checking, and positioning of fixtures and cutting tools, and offset programming adjustments
About Your Skills And Experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Associates and/or Technical Certification preferred
- Must have at least three years of CNC Setup Swiss Screw Machine experience
- Ability to work within very small tolerances requiring a high level of precision and attention to detail
- Requires experience with inspecting, gaging and precision measuring instruments such as comparators, calipers, and micrometers
- Solid math aptitude
- Solid mechanical ability and aptitude, machine de-bugging, and problem solving skills
- Knowledge of equipment operation routines, CNC program offsets
- Experience working in the medical device industry with FDA regulations/ISO 1345 a plus
- Experience with Oracle, SAP or similar systems, computer proficiency using Windows based applications required. CAD experience a plus
