About the Role
Complete Building Services, a building operations and facilities maintenance company, is seeking a Chief Engineer in Woodbridge, VA. The Chief Engineer must possess strong building operations/systems and be available for after-hours emergency calls.
Hours M-F 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.
Salary $40-$45 based on experience
Responsibilities to include:
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on building systems
- Perform HVAC, plumbing, electrical and life safety system repairs
- Prepare work schedules
- Maintain records and prepare required reports
- Coordinate and schedule maintenance and repair work on a daily basis
- Prepare and issue solicitations for the Contractor as necessary for the acquisition of goods and services in support of the contract requirements
- Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and project tracking software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Perform other duties as assigned
You Should Have
The Chief Engineer shall possess the following minimum qualifications:
- Universal CFC
- Demonstrate working knowledge of engineering and building systems
- BAS, cooling towers, WSHP, gas fired hot water boiler and hot water heater, fire alarm systems
- Ability to plan, organize and meet deadlines
- Ability to work on several projects simultaneously and prioritize work, as required
- Ability to read, review and understand blueprints
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills for detailed reporting
