Logistics Operations New College Grad- Bachelor's/Master's (Tracy, CA)

TEAM OVERVIEW:

You will be part of a collaborative seven-person logistics operations team supporting a fast-paced distribution environment with approximately 300 3PL employees executing daily warehouse activities. Our team works closely together and partners with groups across Applied Materials to solve operational challenges, improve productivity, analyze performance, and implement process improvements. As part of the team, you will have exposure to both daily operational execution and larger improvement initiatives, giving you the opportunity to learn how a large-scale logistics operation works from end to end.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support day-to-day logistics and distribution operations, working closely with the 3PL team to identify and resolve operational issues and escalations.
• Monitor and analyze key operational metrics, including productivity, backlog, cycle time, inventory accuracy, quality, and on-time shipment performance.
• Use tools such as Excel, Celonis, SAP, and other data sources to analyze performance, identify trends, and highlight areas requiring action.
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and KPIs that provide visibility into warehouse performance and support data-driven decision making.
• Partner with the 3PL to identify productivity and process improvement opportunities, establish action plans, and track improvements to completion.
• Perform root-cause analysis on recurring operational issues using methods such as Pareto analysis, 5 Whys, and process mapping.
• Work cross-functionally with teams across Applied Materials, including planning, transportation, inventory, quality, IT, and other supply chain functions, to resolve issues and improve end-to-end processes.

REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION:

• Bachelors/Masters degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Operations Management, or related field
• GPA of 3.0 or above preferred

Salary Range:

$60,000.00 - $73,500.00

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
