Job Title: Technical Lead Sterile Products

Location: Barcelona, Spain (FTE, 4 days office)

Join our External Supply Organization (ESO) Manufacturing Science & Technology (MS&T) team as a Technical Lead Sterile Products. In this role, you will act as the technical expert for sterile manufacturing processes, partnering with Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) and cross-functional teams to ensure product quality, process robustness, and operational excellence throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical subject matter expert for sterile manufacturing processes and products.
  • Provide technical stewardship for commercial products and support New Product Introductions (NPI) at CMOs.
  • Lead lifecycle management activities, including process, raw material, and packaging material changes.
  • Drive process improvements focused on quality, yield, efficiency, and cost optimization.
  • Support technology transfers for sterile products, injectable semi-finished products, and medical device assembly and packaging.
  • Lead investigations, troubleshooting activities, and risk assessments related to product and process deviations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external manufacturing partners to ensure seamless knowledge sharing and execution.
  • Review and approve manufacturing specifications, protocols, reports, and other technical documents.

What You'll Bring

  • Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Technology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related scientific/engineering discipline.
  • 8-12 years of experience in Manufacturing Science and Technology, with a strong focus on sterile products (injectables, biologics, medical device etc.) in a GMP environment.
  • Proven expertise in biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes such as cell culture, fermentation, purification, sterile fill-finish, and packaging. Experience in Pharma/Biotech/Medical Devices companies
  • Extensive knowledge of sterile product technologies, including aseptic processing, validation, and cleanroom environments.
  • Experience in technology transfer, process validation, lifecycle management, and manufacturing troubleshooting.
  • Ability to lead complex projects independently and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Fluency in English.
