Master Halco - The Deck Superstore is a one-stop shop with everything in stock for deck projects including decking, railing, framing, foundation, hardware, lights, and architectural lumber. We are seeking a Delivery Driver/Yard Associate at our Commerce City, CO location.
We are looking for a Delivery Driver / Yard Associate who wants variety in their workday. In this dual role, you will spend roughly 50% of your time behind the wheel making same-day, local deliveries and pickups in a company vehicle (no CDL required), and about 50% supporting our yard and warehouse team: loading and unloading trucks, pulling orders, operating a forklift, and keeping the yard organized. You are the face of the company at our customers’ sites and a key part of keeping the branch running smoothly.

Responsibilities
On the road (50%)
- Safely operate a company delivery vehicle to complete same-day local deliveries and pickups on planned routes
- Load and unload vehicles, ensuring all materials are properly secured and safely transported
- Complete delivery paperwork accurately and obtain required signatures at delivery and pickup
- Maintain trip and delivery records in accordance with company policy and applicable federal and state regulations
- Keep the vehicle clean and road-ready; promptly report malfunctions, maintenance needs, or repairs
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate with your supervisor throughout the delivery process
In the yard and warehouse (50%)
- Load outbound trucks, trailers, and customer vehicles; unload inbound trucks and trailers
- Safely operate a forklift (once qualified and authorized) to move, stage, and organize materials
- Pull, prepare, and package orders; receive and put away inbound material
- Complete work orders and receiving documents accurately; rotate yard stock
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard and warehouse
- Participate in safety programs and follow SOPs and company safety requirements; perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Valid non-commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to safely operate delivery vehicles in varying conditions
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- One or more years of delivery, warehouse, yard, or branch operations experience preferred
- Route planning experience and proficiency with GPS/routing systems
- Sit-down forklift experience highly desired; experience with building materials a plus
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 70 lbs
- Ability to read, write, and speak English and perform basic math
- Strong attention to detail, customer-service mindset, and ability to work with all levels of the branch team
- Must pass background check, drug screen, and other job-related requirements
Work Environment & Physical DemandsThis position works inside the warehouse, outside in the yard, and on the road operating a vehicle. You will be exposed to outside environmental conditions such as cold, wind, heat, and humidity; the noise level is moderate to loud. The role requires sitting, standing, walking, climbing, bending, reaching, and frequently lifting and/or moving materials up to 70 lbs.
