Job Description

An intermediate-level position responsible for overseeing the operational efficiency, compliance, and risk control of investment services within Retail Banking. The manager will manage daily Unit Trust operations, including reviewing and approving instructions to counterparties, ensuring transaction accuracy, overseeing reconciliation and record-keeping, and resolving operational issues in a timely manner. This role also involves collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners to optimize workflows and support business growth. In addition, the manager may participate in process enhancement initiatives, system improvements, and cross-functional projects to elevate operational standards. The manager is also expected to provide guidance and support to junior team members as needed.

• Verify and approve order aggregation, allotment, and settlement processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Validate daily investment static data, oversee fund transfers, and monitor payment processing for customer bank accounts.

• Monitor corporate actions such as dividend events and maturities ensuring accurate settlement and timely execution.

• Perform daily, monthly, and ad-hoc reconciliations, investigate transaction discrepancies, and escalate unresolved issues as needed.

• Work in collaboration with internal teams and external counterparties to streamline operations and enhance service efficiency.

• Lead and support system UAT for wealth-related products, identify operational gaps, and drive process enhancements.

• Oversee third-party service providers for document printing, statements, and customer communication materials.

Qualification:

• At least Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.7+ years’ experience in the IT industry and 5 years in Project Management and experience in Banking or Finance applications is preferable

• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in Investment Operations, Banking, Accounting, Financial Services, or a related field.

• Experience in system implementation, process improvement, or automation initiatives is an advantage.

• Strong proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel (including Pivot Tables and formulas) and PowerPoint; knowledge of VBA, Python, or other programming languages is an advantage.

• Strong command of both written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate effectively and prepare professional documentation.

• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve operational objectives.
