Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Cabin & Cargo Systems Engineer (f/m) to join our
team based in Toulouse, France.
As part of an exciting and challenging new upcoming military Program inside the Military
Derivatives department of Air Power, we are building a brand-new team. If you want to be
part of the launch of a stimulating, ambitious and thrilling new Program , that will help

To achieve this, we are currently looking for several Cabin & Cargo Systems Engineers.

Your Challenges:
As a member of our team, you will develop and perform the following challenging tasks and concurrence activities:
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Requirements & Design Engineering: Analyse and breakdown top level requirements for the Cabin and Cargo systems/equipment and integration regarding function, installation, schedule and cost. Develop technical concepts, create detailed CAD design concepts, define equipment specifications, ensure feasibility, and manage the full design and integrationdevelopment process.
- Validation, Verification & Certification: Define V&V, qualification and test plans. Perform and oversee the validation, verification, and qualification activities throughout the development cycle, including compiling necessary V&V documentation and qualification evidences to support certification.
- Effective Internal Collaboration: Work closely with the Cabin and Cargo teams in Getafe and Bremen for overall development consistency and integration. Collaborate with multidisciplinary, cross-functional teams (e.g., airframe design, system installation, stress, configuration design, DMU/CAD, procurement, safety, chief engineering) to ensure seamless system integration. Support various stakeholders with technical information (e.g. quality, manufacturing engineering, airworthiness, …). Provide regular status for internal reporting and technical/program reviews. Supplier & Subcontractor Management: Define technical requirements and system/equipment specification for vendors and detailed work descriptions for engineering sub-contracting activities. Work closely with procurement to support supplier selection process. Continuously oversee vendors/engineering service suppliers’ performance regarding schedule, budget, and quality of deliverables. Steer engineering service providers and vendors through regular reviews. Check drawings and/or data sets and ensure high quality documentation. Formally inspect and sign off on completed work packages or final shipments.
Your Profile:
- Several years of professional experience in Cabin and Cargo Engineering – ATA25
- Understanding of Engineering Design and configuration tools: CATIA, EPD, PASS SSI, SNT
- Ability to manage/coordinate external subcontracting companies and vendors
- Fluent English in speaking and writing, fluent/native French for local supplier management
- Collaborative mindset and proactive, transparent communication
