Description
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Denbighshire to assist with the appointment of a Working Denbighshire Employment and Skills Caseworker, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £14.56 - £19.01 per hour
Summary:
A Working Denbighshire Employment & Skills Caseworker is required to provide person-centred employment and skills support to individuals facing barriers to employment, poverty and social disadvantage. The role will work closely with Employment & Skills Mentors and other team members to help participants build confidence, overcome barriers and progress towards education, employment and training.
Responsibilities:
- Provide flexible, high-quality support to participants with multiple and complex barriers to employment.
- Work closely with Employment & Skills Mentors to support participants towards employment and positive outcomes.
- Use person-centred and strengths-based approaches to identify and address individual barriers.
- Engage participants in What Matters conversations and share relevant information with Mentors.
- Provide information, advice and guidance on employment, education, training and available support.
Essentials:
- Experience of working with people in the public, voluntary or community sector, ideally within an educational, employment advice or social care setting.
- Experience providing support through an employment-based or similar intensive support service to hard-to-reach individuals with multiple needs and barriers to employment.
- Experience working with people experiencing poverty, unemployment or social disadvantage.
- Experience identifying risks, completing risk assessments and working in accordance with risk management plans.
- Understanding of safeguarding and lone-working procedures.
