Walmart is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the delivery of scalable, secure software solutions aligned with platform and business objectives. This role involves full lifecycle development, including design, coding, testing, and deployment, with a focus on integrating AI/ML components and enhancing system performance. The Technology Team drives Walmart’s digital transformation by delivering innovative software solutions that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will collaborate on designing, developing, and deploying high-quality software aligned with platform goals. The team values continuous improvement, technical excellence, and a product-focused approach. Members engage in problem-solving, iterative development, and integration of advanced technologies, ensuring scalable and maintainable systems. Emphasis is placed on best practices in coding, testing, and deployment to deliver reliable, efficient solutions that support Walmart’s evolving business needs.
What you'll do:
- Architect, supervise, and develop TV OS software for next-generation platforms and hardware.
- Develop and port OS features for smart TVs, including audio, video, USB, HDMI and external and peripherals.
- Support development of new application features across the various stacks within the smart TV OS.
- Oversee the abstraction layer between TV hardware and applications to ensure seamless integration.
- Implement hardware automation testing to guarantee robust and reliable performance.
- Lead sustenance engineering efforts for existing HAL layers and supporting applications, Linux-based OS, focusing on improvements, bug fixes, and new feature development
What you'll bring:
- Proven expertise in object-oriented programming and documentation-based coding practices.
- Strong experience delivering scoped features or models through collaborative engineering teams.
- Proficiency in debugging, code review, and continuous development with a delivery-focused mindset.
- Ability to design scalable, secure, and maintainable software systems aligned with platform objectives.
- Skilled in integrating AI/ML components and leveraging generative AI tools to enhance development.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and technical judgment for informed decision-making.
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and program monitoring to ensure quality and reliability.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional teams.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
