Department Overview

The Investor Partners Group (“IPG”) is a ~175-person department dedicated to developing and nurturing investor client relationships. IPG integrates new business development, client service, product specialists and product development to create a Gold Standard investor client experience.

Position Responsibilities

This individual will work closely with the IPG COO Team, Co-Presidents and senior business leaders to execute key initiatives, identify and tackle business challenges, drive cross-functional priorities and expand business capabilities.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborating with project leaders in the execution of critical initiatives; partnering with IPG sub-teams including Global Product Group, Sales and Planning & Operations Teams to establish governance and supervisory frameworks
  • Owning elements of the annual planning process including target setting, budget forecasts, resourcing plans and key initiatives
  • Leading select cross-functional initiatives that span multiple teams and stakeholder groups
  • Serving as a resource for the IPG COO Team and Co-Presidents, driving prioritization, execution and governance of key projects across IPG
  • Influencing stakeholders to drive alignment and accountability for key initiatives
  • Partnering with the Strategic Accounting & Finance Team to develop and manage key financial metrics and reporting
  • Developing recommendations for senior management related to key priorities, operating models and growth opportunities
  • Identifying process improvement needs and working with key stakeholders to establish AI-enabled solutions to address them
  • Providing leadership and oversight to junior team members
  • Becoming an expert on Golub Capital and the alternative asset management industry
  • Keeping abreast of industry best practices and how those might be implemented at Golub Capital

Candidate Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA and / or CFA a plus
  • 7+ years of experience at a top-tier investment bank, investment management firm or consulting firm
  • Financial services and / or asset management industry experience is required
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills are required
  • High level of intellectual curiosity with a desire to develop and implement innovative solutions to sophisticated business challenges
  • Strong project management skills and ability to multi-task
  • Adept at interacting with senior executives, department heads and external partners
  • Demonstrated experience in working with high-performing teams; ability to establish relationships and work effectively with a variety of business partners
  • Ability to maintain exceptional attention to detail while managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work independently, set priorities, multitask and meet aggressive deadlines
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively leverage AI tools in day-to-day work, with strong critical thinking to assess accuracy, limitations and appropriate use of AI generated outputs
  • Enthusiastic about working in office and creating a Gold Standard hybrid work culture

  • Relationship Management:  Creates ways to engage others, cultivate trust and build long-term win-win partnerships with investors, business partners and internal teams.

Compensation and Benefits

For Illinois and New York Only: It is expected that the base salary range for this position will be $200,000 to $250,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors such as skills, experiences and qualifications for the role. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial and / or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits such as vacation, sick time and parental leave) dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, the employee will be in an ‘at-will position’ and the Firm reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time including for reasons related to individual performance, Firm or individual department / team performance and market factors.
