Description
The Urban Renewal Authority (“URA”) is tasked to undertake, encourage, promote and facilitate urban renewal of Hong Kong in accordance with the provisions of the Urban Renewal Authority Ordinance and the Urban Renewal Strategy published by the Government. The URA adopts a comprehensive and holistic approach by ways of its two core businesses i.e. redevelopment and rehabilitation, as well as preservation, revitalisation and retrofitting, for creating a sustainable and quality living environment for the people of Hong Kong.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of effective community engagement tactics and action plans, including stakeholder mapping, engagement planning, issue anticipation, as well as the delivery of community engagement programmes, for corporate-wide initiatives, policy reviews and district-based urban renewal programmes.
Develop and maintain a vibrant liaison network with various stakeholders, including but not limited to Government Departments, Legislative Council Members, District Council members, professional bodies, interest / concern groups, NGOs and other stakeholders concerned.
Responsible for the production of communication materials which address stakeholders' concerns and foster mutual understanding between the Authority and the local communities
Perform daily monitoring and analysis of social media sentiment; proactively identify emerging issues and provide actionable insights/recommendations to management.
Coordinate with internal divisions and external stakeholders to develop timely, coordinated and sensitive responses to enquiries, complaints, petition, and emerging issues.
Undertake any other duties and ad-hoc tasks as assigned by supervisors to meet business and operational needs
Requirements:
Degree holder in Public Administration, Communications, or related fields
Minimum 5 years full-time experience in related fields, experience in stakeholder and community engagement work will be an added advantage
Experience in liaising with Government Departments, Legislative Council, District Councils or NGOs in Hong Kong is highly preferred
Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and stress management skills; ability to work independently under pressure
Strong public affairs acumen with sound logical thinking and project management skills
Good oral and written communication skills in English and Chinese, proficient in Putonghua is an advantage
