Job Overview & Responsibilities
Mythics is seeking a highly experienced PeopleSoft Grants Management Lead Consultant to serve as the primary subject matter expert for Grants Management and related project accounting processes. This individual will lead clients through the design, implementation, optimization, and support of PeopleSoft Grants Management solutions while advising stakeholders on best practices for grant lifecycle management, compliance, financial reporting, and operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate combines deep functional expertise in PeopleSoft Grants Management with strong consulting, solution design, and client leadership skills. This role serves as a trusted advisor to clients and provides leadership throughout all phases of implementation and support engagements.
Responsibilities
Grants Management Leadership
- Serve as the lead consultant and subject matter expert for PeopleSoft Grants Management implementations and enhancements.
- Lead requirements gathering workshops and business process reviews focused on grant lifecycle management, funding sources, budgeting, compliance, cost tracking, and reporting.
- Advise clients on industry best practices for grants administration, sponsored programs, and grant-funded project accounting.
- Develop and recommend process improvements that increase operational efficiency, compliance, and reporting capabilities.
Solution Design & Implementation
- Design integrated solutions utilizing PeopleSoft Grants Management and related FSCM applications including Customer Contracts, Project Costing, Commitment Control, Billing, and Accounts Receivable.
- Lead all phases of project delivery, including requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, solution design, configuration, testing, training, deployment, and post-production support.
- Serve as a Solution Architect by developing high-level solution designs that align implementation activities with long-term business objectives.
- Ensure end-to-end integration between grants management processes and related financial applications.
Client Engagement & Consulting
- Build trusted advisor relationships with client stakeholders, project teams, and executive leadership.
- Manage project scope, deliverables, risks, and client expectations throughout engagements.
- Provide expert guidance on PeopleSoft functionality, new releases, and emerging capabilities.
- Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and knowledge transfer activities for client teams.
Project Leadership
- Provide leadership and mentorship to project team members.
- Develop and maintain implementation methodologies, best practices, templates, and solution frameworks.
- Prepare accurate project status reports and executive-level communications.
- Resolve complex functional issues and ensure successful completion of project deliverables.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 12 years of experience.
- Accounting degree and/or CPA designation preferred.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Minimum 8 years of ERP Financials implementation experience.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on PeopleSoft Grants Management experience.
- Experience leading multiple PeopleSoft Grants Management implementations through all phases of the project lifecycle.
- Experience working directly with grant administrators, finance teams, sponsored programs offices, research organizations, or public sector agencies.
- Demonstrated expertise in grants lifecycle management, including award setup, budgeting, funding, compliance monitoring, cost tracking, and reporting.
- Strong understanding of accounting and financial management principles.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Deep expertise in PeopleSoft Grants Management.
- Strong working knowledge of Customer Contracts, Project Costing, Commitment Control, Billing, and Accounts Receivable.
