Senior Project Manager – JLL
What this job involves:
As a Senior Project Manager at JLL, you will lead complex, industry-changing projects that shape the future of work. You will execute construction projects from inception to turnover in highly regulated life science environments, leveraging JLL's national platform to deliver strategic solutions for our clients. Your role combines technical expertise with collaborative leadership—facilitating critical stakeholder meetings, managing project deliverables, and applying financial acumen to meet client goals. You will create an energized team environment while building strong client and vendor relationships through exceptional communication and on-site leadership. Success in this role means delivering projects on-time, on-budget, and on-scope while mentoring junior team members and contributing to JLL's culture of excellence.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Manage all project phases from initiation to closeout, including scope development, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and contract negotiations for multiple concurrent projects
Facilitate stakeholder meetings to discuss project deliverables, schedules, and budgets while providing on-site project leadership and maintaining client satisfaction
Prepare comprehensive project documentation including project charters, budgets, schedules, meeting minutes, status reports, and punch lists in accordance with client requirements
Manage vendors (general contractors, architects, engineers, security, safety) to ensure full compliance with project policies and formal closeout within 120 days of completion
Develop monthly forecasts, cash flow analysis, and risk management plans while leading teams through work authorization processes in critical environments
Mentor and assist junior project managers, contributing to team development and the establishment of best practices and cultural initiatives
Review OSHA safety logs and ensure constructability, quality, environment, health, and safety compliance with client standards and regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field
7+ years of relevant project or construction management experience, preferably in Life Sciences or other highly regulated settings
Advanced English Level
10hr or 30hr OSHA Construction certification
2-3 years of experience as a senior project manager or similar leadership role
Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects at various phases, from project identification through financial closeout
Experience with project scope development, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and contract negotiations
Familiarity with base building electrical, HVAC, and mechanical infrastructure
Ability to understand OSHA 1926 requirements and review OSHA safety logs for contractors
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering
Life Science, Healthcare, or Commercial Building construction project management experience
LEED, AIA, PE, PMP, and/or Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher) certification
Experience working with and developing a team of junior project managers
Good understanding of Building Automation Systems
Knowledge of JLL Service Lines (Integrated Facilities Management, Engineering Services, Occupancy Planning, Move-Add-Change Projects)
Work Shift:
Standard business hours (Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm) with availability to support critical operations, emergencies, special events, and after-hours construction site activities as needed
